식물 염색 제품

제작 과정에서 원단이 이미 충분한 마찰과 자극을 거쳐 입고되었기 때문에 자연스럽고 고급스러운 색감과 부드러운 촉감을 지니고 있습니다. 
다만, 세탁 시에는 일반 제품보다 조금 더 섬세한 관리가 필요합니다.

* 물 온도 40도 이하, 60분 내의 세탁 기본 코스를 권장합니다. 울코스, 불림, 삶음, 아기코스는 지양해주세요.

* 중성세제 사용을 권장합니다. 고농축 세제, 과탄산소다, 베이킹소다, 구연산 등 표백 성분 세제를 피해주세요.

* 진한 색상의 상품은 첫 세탁 시 단독 손세탁으로 색빠짐을 먼저 확인해 주세요.

* 색빠짐이 안정될 때까지는 단독 세탁을 권장합니다.

* 젖은 상태로 의류를 겹쳐 보관할 경우 색상 간 이염이 발생할 수 있으므로 세탁 후 신속한 건조가 필요합니다.

에크루 / 스트라이프 제품

인위적인 염색 과정을 일절 거치지 않은 순수 오가닉 원면 그대로 제작된 제품입니다. 

* 화학 처리를 최소화하여 가정에서 첫 세탁 시 수축 및 틀어짐이 발생할 수 있습니다. 이에 초기 제작 시 수축률과 틀어짐을 감안하여 착용 시 불편함 없도록 설계되었습니다.

* 수축을 최소화하기 위해 건조기 사용은 피해주시고 자연 건조를 권장합니다.

루프 테리 소재 

GOTS 인증 오가닉 코튼 100% 루프테리 원단으로 화학 고정 가공 없이 자연 그대로의 상태에서 봉제와 염색을 진행합니다. 
유연한 환편직 원단 특성상 아이 피부에 매우 안전한 대신, 섬유 조직이 살아 있어 세탁 환경에 따라 수축이나 쭈글거림, 미세한 뒤틀림 등에 다소 민감할 수 있습니다.

* 마찰로 인한 올풀림이나 잔털 빠짐을 줄이기 위해 세탁망 사용을 권장합니다.

* 세탁물 양이 너무 적으면 세탁기 내부에서 마찰이 커지므로 원단의 손상이 더 빠르게 발생할 수 있습니다. 이를 방지하기 위해 적당한 양의 세탁물로 세탁기를 채워 세탁해 주시는 것을 추천드립니다.

* 건조기 사용 시 형태 변형은 크지 않으나, 라벨의 마찰로 사용감이 빠르게 도드라질 수 있습니다. 가급적 서늘하고 통풍이 잘되는 그늘에서 평평하게 펼쳐 눕혀 자연 건조해 주시는 것이 가장 좋습니다.

면, 린넨, 헴프, 거즈 소재

천연 식물성 섬유 특성상 세탁 후 약간의 수축(약 2~4cm)이나 주름, 미세한 잔사(보풀)가 발생할 수 있으며, 

원단 표면의 마디(Slub)나 올 올라옴(Nep) 현상은 불량이 아닌 소재 고유의 자연스러운 특성입니다. 

세탁과 착용을 반복할수록 점차 안정되며 편안한 멋을 갖추게 됩니다.

* 물 온도 30도 이하 찬물에서 중성세제(아기 전용 세제 권장)를 사용해주세요.

* 마찰로 인한 원단 손상이나 올풀림을 방지하기 위해 세탁망 사용을 권장하며, 울코스 또는 단독 손세탁해주세요.

* 원단 및 천연 염색 손상 방지를 위해 삶거나 염소·산소계 표백제 사용을 피해주세요.

* 린넨, 헴프 소재는 섬유유연제 사용 시 원사가 끊어지거나 먼지,보풀이 발생할 수 있으므로 사용을 피해주세요.

* 강한 열에 노출될 경우 수축이나 원단 손상이 발생할 수 있으므로 건조기 사용을 절대 금하며, 가볍게 탈수 후 형태를 정돈하여 직사광선을 피해 그늘에서 평평하게 펼쳐 눕혀 자연 건조를 권장합니다.

* 다림질이 필요할 경우 천을 대고 낮은 온도에서 가볍게 다려주세요.

니트 소재

니트 웨어는 소재 특성 상 마찰과 습기에 민감하므로 착용 후 하루 정도 휴식을 주며 관리해 주세요.

* 드라이클리닝을 권장하나, 손세탁이 필요할 경우 미온수에 중성세제 사용을 권장합니다.

* 캐시미어의 경우 더욱 섬세한 관리가 필요합니다. 전용 울 샴푸를 사용해 가볍게 눌러 세탁한 후 충분히 헹궈주세요.

* 건조 시에는 물기 제거 후 직사광선을 피하여 평평하게 펼쳐 눕혀 자연 건조를 권장합니다.

* 형태 변형 방지를 위해 옷걸이 사용을 피하고 개어 보관하는 것이 좋습니다.

To help you enjoy your precious items for a long time, we would like to guide you through the recommended washing and storage methods for each product. For the most accurate care, please refer to the care label for clothing, and the enclosed product manual for other items.

Plant-Dyed Products

During the production process, the fabric has already undergone sufficient friction and stimulation before arrival, giving it a natural, premium color and a soft texture.
However, it requires slightly more delicate care during washing than standard products.

* Standard cycle (under 60 mins) at 40°C or below. Avoid wool, soaking, boiling, or baby care cycles.

* Use neutral (pH-balanced) detergent. Avoid bleaching agents, highly concentrated detergents, sodium percarbonate, baking soda, and citric acid.

* Hand wash dark items separately for the first wash to check for color bleeding, and wash separately until stabilized.

* Dry immediately after washing. Avoid piling wet garments together to prevent color transfer.

Ecru / Stripe Products

These products are crafted from pure organic raw cotton that has not undergone any artificial dyeing processes.
* By minimizing chemical treatments, shrinkage and distortion may occur during the first wash. However, the items are designed with extra room in mind to ensure a comfortable fit.

* Avoid using a dryer to minimize shrinkage; air drying naturally is highly recommended.

Loop Terry Fabric

Made with GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton loop terry fabric, sewing and dyeing are carried out in a natural state without any chemical fixing processes. 
Due to the characteristics of the flexible circular knit fabric, it is extremely safe for a baby's skin.
However, because the textile fibers remain living and active, it can be somewhat sensitive to shrinkage, puckering, or minor twisting depending on the washing environment.

* Use a laundry net to reduce snagging or lint shedding.

* Wash with a moderate amount of laundry. If the load is too small, increased friction inside the machine can cause faster fabric damage.

* Lay flat to air dry in a cool, well-ventilated shade. Avoid dryers, as friction against the label can make the item look worn out quickly.

Cotton, Linen, Hemp, and Gauze Fabrics

Natural plant fibers may experience slight shrinkage (approx. 2–4 cm), wrinkling, minor linting, or surface slubs/neps. 

These are unique natural characteristics of the fabric—not defects—and will gradually stabilize into a soft, comfortable fit with repeated washing and wearing.

* Wash in cold water at 30°C or below using a neutral (pH-balanced) detergent (a gentle baby detergent is recommended).

* Use a laundry net to prevent fabric damage or snagging from friction, and wash on a gentle/wool cycle or hand wash separately.

* Do not boil or use chlorine/oxygen-based bleach to protect the fabric and natural dyes.

* Avoid fabric softeners for linen and hemp, as they can break down fibers and cause linting or shedding.

* Strictly avoid tumble dryers, as intense heat can cause severe shrinkage or fabric damage. Gently spin-dry, reshape the garment, and lay flat to air dry in the shade away from direct sunlight.

* If ironing is necessary, place a pressing cloth over the garment and iron lightly at a low temperature.

Knitwear

Knitwear is naturally sensitive to friction and moisture, so please give it a rest for about a day after wearing to keep it in best condition.

* Dry cleaning is recommended. For hand washing, use lukewarm water and a neutral (pH-balanced) detergent.

* For cashmere, gently press and squeeze with a dedicated wool shampoo to wash, then rinse thoroughly.

* Remove excess moisture and lay flat to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight.

* Avoid hangers to prevent shape deformation; store folded instead.

가먼트 다잉

EARTH THE ARCHIVE의 모든 염색 제품은 봉제가 완성된 의류에 색을 입히는 '가먼트 다잉(Garment Dyeing)' 방식으로 제작됩니다.

가먼트 다잉은 염료의 종류와 염색 시간, 원단의 편직 차수와 수축률에 따라 매 염색 과정마다 색감과 크기, 형태가 미세하게 달라질 수 있습니다. 이는 동일한 결과를 반복적으로 찍어내는 방식이 아닌, 각 제품이 저마다의 색감과 결로 완성되는 가먼트 다잉만의 자연스러운 특성입니다. 이러한 차이를 제품의 개성과 희소성으로 바라봐 주시기를 바랍니다.

염색 과정을 거치지 않은 에크루 크림 컬러는 화학 처리를 최소화한 오가닉 원단 본연의 상태로 제작됩니다. 그로 인해 세탁 후 약간의 수축이나 형태 변화가 발생할 수 있으나, 착용 시 불편함이 없도록 입체 패턴을 적용하고 예상 수축량을 반영하여 다른 색상보다 여유 있게 제작하고 있습니다.

EARTH THE ARCHIVE의 식물 염색 및 무독성 염색은 자연과 피부에 순하면서도 깊이 있는 색감을 전하는 염색 방식입니다. 다만 색을 강하게 고정시키는 인공적인 처리를 최소화했기 때문에 시간의 흐름에 따라 색감이 자연스럽게 변화할 수 있습니다. 특히 일광과 열에 민감한 특성이 있어, 미온수에 중성세제로 부드럽게 세탁한 뒤 직사광선을 피해 그늘에서 자연 건조해 주시면 제품의 색을 보다 오래 유지하실 수 있습니다.

GARMENT DYEING

All EARTH THE ARCHIVE products are crafted using 'Garment Dyeing,' a process where the dye is applied after the garment has been fully stitched. Due to the nature of this process, subtle variations in hue, size, and shape may occur depending on the type of dye, dyeing time, and the specific shrinkage of each fabric batch. Rather than producing identical copies, each piece is finished with its own unique texture and tone. We hope you appreciate these natural variations as a sign of the product’s individuality and rarity. Our Ecru Cream color, which remains undyed, is produced in the purest state of organic fabric with minimal chemical treatment. To account for potential shrinkage after washing, we use 3D pattern cutting and adjust the sizing to be slightly more generous than other colors, ensuring a comfortable fit even after care. EARTH THE ARCHIVE’s plant-based and non-toxic dyeing methods are gentle on both nature and the skin, offering a deep, earthy palette. Because we minimize artificial fixatives to stay true to nature, the colors may evolve naturally over time. As these natural pigments are sensitive to sunlight and heat, we recommend washing gently in lukewarm water with a neutral detergent and drying in the shade to preserve the color for as long as possible.
