EARTH THE ARCHIVE의 모든 염색 제품은 봉제가 완성된 의류에 색을 입히는 '가먼트 다잉(Garment Dyeing)' 방식으로 제작됩니다.

가먼트 다잉은 염료의 종류와 염색 시간, 원단의 편직 차수와 수축률에 따라 매 염색 과정마다 색감과 크기, 형태가 미세하게 달라질 수 있습니다. 이는 동일한 결과를 반복적으로 찍어내는 방식이 아닌, 각 제품이 저마다의 색감과 결로 완성되는 가먼트 다잉만의 자연스러운 특성입니다. 이러한 차이를 제품의 개성과 희소성으로 바라봐 주시기를 바랍니다.

염색 과정을 거치지 않은 에크루 크림 컬러는 화학 처리를 최소화한 오가닉 원단 본연의 상태로 제작됩니다. 그로 인해 세탁 후 약간의 수축이나 형태 변화가 발생할 수 있으나, 착용 시 불편함이 없도록 입체 패턴을 적용하고 예상 수축량을 반영하여 다른 색상보다 여유 있게 제작하고 있습니다.

EARTH THE ARCHIVE의 식물 염색 및 무독성 염색은 자연과 피부에 순하면서도 깊이 있는 색감을 전하는 염색 방식입니다. 다만 색을 강하게 고정시키는 인공적인 처리를 최소화했기 때문에 시간의 흐름에 따라 색감이 자연스럽게 변화할 수 있습니다. 특히 일광과 열에 민감한 특성이 있어, 미온수에 중성세제로 부드럽게 세탁한 뒤 직사광선을 피해 그늘에서 자연 건조해 주시면 제품의 색을 보다 오래 유지하실 수 있습니다.

All EARTH THE ARCHIVE products are crafted using 'Garment Dyeing,' a process where the dye is applied after the garment has been fully stitched. Due to the nature of this process, subtle variations in hue, size, and shape may occur depending on the type of dye, dyeing time, and the specific shrinkage of each fabric batch. Rather than producing identical copies, each piece is finished with its own unique texture and tone. We hope you appreciate these natural variations as a sign of the product’s individuality and rarity. Our Ecru Cream color, which remains undyed, is produced in the purest state of organic fabric with minimal chemical treatment. To account for potential shrinkage after washing, we use 3D pattern cutting and adjust the sizing to be slightly more generous than other colors, ensuring a comfortable fit even after care. EARTH THE ARCHIVE’s plant-based and non-toxic dyeing methods are gentle on both nature and the skin, offering a deep, earthy palette. Because we minimize artificial fixatives to stay true to nature, the colors may evolve naturally over time. As these natural pigments are sensitive to sunlight and heat, we recommend washing gently in lukewarm water with a neutral detergent and drying in the shade to preserve the color for as long as possible.

CARE

* 첫 세탁 시 가정에서 사용하시는 세제와 세탁기 기본 온도를 체크해 주세요.

* 세탁기의 일반코스 사용과 일반 중성세제 사용이 가능합니다. 다만 각 가정에서 사용하시는 세제와 세탁기의 기본 세팅이 상이하오니 세탁 전에 한 번 더 유심히 체크해 주세요.

* 물 온도 40도 , 세제는 일반 중성세제를 권장합니다.

* 고농축 세제를 사용하신다면 세제의 적정 사용량을 꼭 따라주세요. 물 빠짐의 원인이 될 수 있습니다.

* 가먼트 다잉 제품 특성상 세탁 시 이염 우려가 있으니 단독 또는 유사 색상끼리의 세탁을 권장합니다. 진한 색상의 제품은 먼저 분리 세탁하여 물 빠짐이 발생하는 지 확인해 주세요.

* 건조는 통풍이 잘되는 그늘진 곳에서 건조해 주세요. 건조기 사용 시 제품의 변형은 적지만, 라벨의 손상이 있을 수 있습니다.

* 탈색을 유발할 수 있는 과탄산소다 또는 표백제 사용은 반드시 피해주세요.

* 장기간 보관이 필요한 경우, 서랍 깊숙이 빛이 닿지 않게 하고 펼쳐서 보관하시면 좋습니다.

CARE

* Initial Check: Before the first wash, please check your washing machine’s default temperature and the type of detergent you use.

* Temperature & Detergent: We recommend a standard cycle at 40°C (104°F) with a mild, neutral detergent. If using concentrated detergent, strictly follow the recommended amount to prevent color bleeding.

* Separation: Due to the nature of garment dyeing, color transfer may occur. We recommend washing alone or with similar colors. For darker items, perform a separate initial wash to check for any bleeding.

* Avoid Bleach: Never use sodium percarbonate (oxygen bleach) or chlorine bleach, as they will cause significant discoloration.

* Drying: Air-dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. While tumble drying causes minimal shrinkage, it may damage the care labels.

* Storage: For long-term storage, we recommend laying the garment flat in a dark drawer away from direct light to prevent fading.
